Down the Aisle: Weddings of San Elizario
Los Portales Museum and Information Center will present its first community-focused exhibition of the new year. Down the Isle will run March 4th through April 30th, 2022. The exhibit's focus is to showcase wedding stories and objects from the 1920s through the 1960s.

Los Portales Museum and Information Center will present its first community-focused exhibition of the new year. Down the Isle will run March 4th through April 30th, 2022. The exhibit's focus is to showcase wedding stories and objects from the 1920s through the 1960s. Come and see vintage wedding dresses, photos, and art and explore the history of San Elizario weddings!
One of the highlights of our exhibit is the tale of long-distance love. Delve into the story and read the love letters sent between the lovers. This part of the exhibit culminates with a handmade wedding dress and accessories worn by the bride.
